Editorial Design: There is a texture to every experience, every story.
My first design job out of college was with a magazine. I had no clue how in love I would fall in love with publication design and how perfectly it fit my design versatility, love of storytelling, and passion for illustration. With magazines I could enter a world and produce visuals that perfectly fit the story, tone, and audience. I did not know I had a high sensitivity to design tone, and it was with magazines I learned the art of connecting with unique viewers with unique visuals and language that catered specifically to their experiences and interests. With my background in illustration, I understood the unique details that could be utilized to connect the story to a person. There is a texture to every experience and I think my sensibility to this makes my insight and POV as a designer unique.
